Info
Competitions are for all students to participate in. These competitions are an excellent opportunity for students to display their skills and abilities on a much larger scale than just our classroom. I highly recommend that everyone of my students participate in at least one of these competitions.
All Bridge teams should read and review the documents from Pitsco.

MDOT 2016 info is here!
The 2016 Michigan Bridge Challenge will be held on Tuesday, April 19, at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids (with check-in on Monday night). Here are this year’s bridge types for both MDOT-TRAC (Statewide) and AASHTO (national) challenges:
Grade Bridge Type
7/8 Truss
9/10 Vertical-Lift
11/12 Cantiliever Through Truss
Both the statewide and national competitions require a separate registration. The plan is to have competition rules developed and posted on the www.michigan.gov/mdot-trac website by Sept. 30 (promotional material, too). You’ll receive more info as it becomes available.
Meanwhile, if you need to replenish supplies in your TRAC modules, let your TRAC Coordinator, Shelly Vongphasouk, know([email protected]). Soon we’ll conduct one or more local, full-day TRAC training sessions, hopefully in November. We already have two part-time evening sessions scheduled in Oct/Nov in Grand Rapids. If you know other teachers who are interested in utilizing TRAC, have them contact Shelly.
